Longhorn should be installed on the cluster where the volumes are needed. In this case, we will install it on our RKE2 cluster. Follow these steps to use Rancher Management UI to provision Longhorn:
- Click on the
Cluster Managementmenu in the sidebar. - Click on the
explorebutton for the cluster where you want to install Longhorn (rke2-clusterin this case). - Click on
Apps>Chartsand search forlonghorn. - Click on the
Longhornchart and then click on theInstallbutton. - If you want to use the same versions as in this guide - and I highly recommend it to avoid any discrepancies between the guide and your setup - you should set the
imagesection in the YAML editor of theLonghornchart to the following:
