Crypto mogul Sam Bankman-Fried is awaiting permission from a federal court to conduct legal research online.
US Attorney Damian Williams previously rejected his request to access messaging apps but has proposed a whitelist including whitelisting websites such as Amazon, news providers such as the New York Times, and crypto resources like Etherscan.
Bankman-Fried would also be able to access a cloud-hosted FTX database and Gmail accounts. A federal judge set restrictions on Bankman-Fried's movement and messaging after his arrest last year in the Bahamas.
