Cyberattacks are increasing in complexity and frequency, posing a significant risk to small and medium businesses (SMBs) that may not have the resources to protect themselves or recover from an attack.

Microsoft has made Azure Firewall Basic generally available to address this need by providing SMBs with cost-effective and easy-to-use firewall security.

• Azure Firewall Basic offers Layer 3-7 filterings, built-in threat intelligence, and high availability, all integrated seamlessly with other Azure services.
• Azure Firewall is offered in three SKUs - Basic, Standard, and Premium - to meet a range of needs.
• Azure Firewall Basic has a lower cost point and is designed for SMBs with throughput needs of less than 250 Mbps.
• SMBs can choose to deploy Azure Firewall Basic in a virtual network or virtual hub, depending on their requirements.
