Intel's co-founder, Gordon Moore, died at the age of 92.
He was renowned for Moore's Law, which predicted that the number of transistors in a chip would double every 2 years.
He co-founded Fairchild Semiconductor, Intel, and donated over $5 billion to the Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation for philanthropic causes such as environmental conservation and science patient care improvement.
Intel pledges to carry on his legacy, and CEO Pat Gelsinger announced the renaming of Intel's Oregon campus to Gordon Moore Park.
