Fly through Jupyter with keyboard shortcuts

Fly through Jupyter with keyboard shortcuts

This is a tutorial on how to increase productivity in Jupyter Notebook by using built-in keyboard shortcuts.

The post covers the difference between Command Mode and Edit Mode, and the 25 most useful keyboard shortcuts for each mode, including:

  • navigating cells,
  • creating and deleting cells,
  • changing cell types,
  • cutting, copying, and pasting cells,
  • saving the notebook,
  • running cells,
  • and code completion.
It also includes some power user shortcuts, such as opening the command palette, toggling between hiding and showing output, undoing cell deletion, toggling between commented and uncommented code, and using multiple cursors.
