MinIO Ends Community Development, Positions AIStor as the Future

MinIO AIStor

MinIO has marked its open-source GitHub repository as "THIS REPOSITORY IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED," effectively ending active community development. The company is shifting focus to AIStor, its subscription-based enterprise object storage platform. The code remains available under AGPLv3, but future innovation and support are centered on the commercial product.

The IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service is a managed Kubernetes solution built for creating a cluster of compute hosts to deploy and manage containerized apps on IBM Cloud. IBM manages the master, freeing developers from having to administer the host OS, container runtime, and Kubernetes version-update process. It offers features such as native Kubernetes, secure clusters, and leveraging IBM Watson APIs. The service also provides predefined Kubernetes storage classes, integrated networking and security controls, and a private Docker image registry. Other related IBM cloud services include IBM Cloud Code Engine, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, and IBM Cloud Foundry.
