Adept, a startup founded by David Luan, co-founder of OpenAI, has raised $260 million in venture capital for its AI digital assistant.
Luan predicts that we're still two to three years away from AI displaying unsettlingly human responses to queries, but anticipates that AI could act as human copilots and take care of tasks such as generating text or image recognition.
The company's Digital Assistant AIs, ChatGPT and DALLE, assist users in selecting software programs or building complex enterprise software models. Adept's post-money valuation is at least $1 billion, according to two sources involved in the recent funding round.
